It’s a joy to see a family in the process of growing right before your eyes when they are expecting and this fabulous family of three is about to become FOUR! So we met them in a park to get some awesome location portraits of this version of the crew and we had a blast.
Fabulous Family of Three
Corey and Alexis have actually been to the studio before as part of a larger group family portrait session, but this time we got to hang with just them and their cool little man Avery and the results are pretty great. Let’s start with the family portrait of the three of them:
Love that fun look on Avery’s face!
We also have some fun behind the scenes from the morning from the replay of our Facebook Live broadcast:
So fun!
Let’s get to a few more shots – let’s take a look at Avery just being Avery!
And how about a father / son shot in black and white!
Precious.
And now just the happy couple together…
Awesome. We enjoyed our time with this fabulous family and we hope you enjoyed the highlights of our morning!

In the category for Nabbing A Perfect Senior Session we are nominating Nora!!! Holy moly – everything about this one is fabulous. We’ve known Nora going back to elementary school days in the Magnet program at Roosevelt Elementary with our daughter Lacey, and she was always a sweetheart of a little girl then. Now that’s she’s a senior she’s still the same sweetheart, just all grown up and more beautiful than ever! We were so happy to have her here and we had so much fun with her and her mom Rajaa! We’re pretty excited to present these sneak peeks…
Nominating Nora…
We started out in the studio and we’ll highlight one of those photos first with the white outfit on the white backdrop. White on white or black on black both look really nice if you light them properly!
Great right?
We have some behind the scenes fun for you as usual – first from the setup above in the studio on Facebook Live:
For the location part of the session with Nora we started with a return to Orchard Lake at a spot we hadn’t photographed in years to get a photo with the lake in the background and here’s the result:
Spectacular!
Here’s some more behind the scenes – this time at the lake on YouTube Live:
At this point we had another stop to make – this time over behind the West Bloomfield Library and the light was perfect! These next two photos Nora was really in the zone. This first one in the meadow with the slight haze and the backlight on her hair…
…breathtakingly beautiful!!! Wow.
And this one with Nora just relaxing up close and personal….
Awesome. You can see why we are nominating Nora for nabbing a perfect senior session! We hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day with her!

The allure of Liz’s lovely senior session is strong indeed because it’s um…..awesome! We are big fans of this girl – she has an artist’s point of view as an aspiring photographer herself and we really enjoyed photographing her! The only problem is that we’re a Canon shop and she shoots with a Nikon – ha – but that just proves how much we like her that we still let her into the studio and even took a photo of her with her camera which you’ll see below! Liz’s mom Marion came along for the fun, Liz looked amazing and we are excited to show you these highlights so let’s get to it…
Allure Of Liz’s Lovely Senior Session
We started out in the studio and here is a good time to give a shout out to Mandy Rose studio for the makeup – a fantastic job as usual.
Love that setup with the damask backdrop and the wooden floor! And love Liz’s style!
We also have some fun behind the scenes here first with the replay of our YouTube Live broadcast getting the photo above!
While we were in the studio we let Liz break out her Nikon and we took this fun photo:
So fun – a girl and her camera and a girl after our own hearts!!!
At this point it was time to head out on location in Birmingham where we had a great day and where we captured this next photo – stunning really…
Wow. Absolutely gorgeous.
Here’s another behind the scenes replay from the day this time from Facebook Live:
And here is a final shot which comes from the replay above:
Adorable!!!
And there you have it – we’re pretty confident you get the allure of Liz’s lovely session after seeing these sneak peeks!!! We hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day with her!

We had just about the sweetest sibling session here at the studio on the occasion of the youngest’s 6 month milestone and these three were so fun!!! Mom Ashley has been here with hubby Chris and the kids before but this was Enzo’s first appearance with older sibs Lucca & Sylla together and there was definitely more magic this time around…
Sweetest Sibling Session
So this was a pretty straightforward approach with the kids on the brown backdrop and their outfits were amazing… Let’s start with the three together:
How great are they?
We also have a little behind the scenes fun for you here with our Snapchat story from the session! You’ll even see that Ashley jumped in for a couple shots! Follow us on Snapchat for frequent snaps and stories from sessions and various other goings on!
Now let’s take a look at individual portraits of all three kids shall we? First big brother…
Stylin’!!!! Love the suspenders…
Next we have big (and little) sister…
Love the beret!!!
And now the little man!
OMG… could he be any more delicious?
And there you have it – just about the sweetest sibling session you will ever see! We hope you enjoyed the highlights!!!

Sami’s sublime senior session was one to remember, and why wouldn’t it be? We already photographed Sami before as a spokesmodel representing the class of 2018 and that session was fab so we already knew we could look forward to another awesome outing! This time we went to the E.L. Johsnon Nature Center in Bloomfield Hills and our conditions were perfect! Sami’s mom Lisa and her boyfriend Greg joined to be Sami’s cheering section too! Great lighting, great senior and plenty of natural beauty all around…. much to enjoy so let’s get to it!
Sami’s Sublime Senior Session
Our first stop was on this beautiful long bridge – a great photo to kick it off…
Sublime! The backlight on her hair is such a great accent and Sami is off to a perfect start here!
We also have some behind the scenes fun for you too – first with the replay of the Facebook Live broadcast:
At this point we headed out on the trails to get some pure nature – flowers, trees – plenty of beauty!
So pretty!
Just a relaxed, happy Sami here – love it.
We also have some more behind the scenes this time from the YouTube Live replay:
And we’ll leave you with this lovely photo of Sami just being Sami….
Sublime indeed! We hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day with Sami – it was definitely one to remember!

We gushed about Dani plenty when we blogged about her spokesmodel session and after knowing her for about 6 months as she’s represented the studio for the class of 2018 we can say with certainty it was all justified. We LOVE this girl and we definitely had a dazzling day with her in Detroit! Her mom Diana came along for the fun and as you’ll see it was a session to remember.
Dazzling Day With Dani
Many of the highlights of this session ended up being in The Belt which we’ll get to, but we started out on Belle Isle and captured this stunner:
Wow – dazzling right? I also have to say that I’ve been playing around with the new Snapchat filters on my iPhone for some of the behind the scenes stuff we put on our Snapchat stories and I think this one of Ally capturing the photo of Dani above is worth including here – like a cool little painting…
Meanwhile we have the YouTube live broadcast replay from Belle Isle as well for you here:
Now let’s head over to The Belt in downtown Detroit where we captured some real winners!
Love it – and here is the behind the scenes Facebook Live broadcast replay that goes with that shot:
Her outfit seemed to be just perfect for the colors there too….
We also went to an art gallery there that rotates installations of different mediums and we’ve been lucky enough to be there when they invited us in to take photos. That’s where this last one was captured:
So cool! And there you have it – a dazzling day in Detroit with Dani indeed! We hope you enjoyed the highlights!

Mason definitely made it happen on his senior session – and it wasn’t his first one. Okay well it was his first one that was his senior session but he came along on his brother Reed’s session a year ago so he knew what to expect and he was ready to roll. What a great kid – the kind of kid you can look at him a certain way and get him laughing and then everyone is laughing. We had a lot of fun and mom Tracie and dad Brent joined again and we’ve known them for decades. Brent is one of the few really cool people I met back in my corporate days who I’ve remained friends with and the whole family is great.
Mason Makes It Happen
So with Mason the plan was to head over to the Franklin Cider Mill to get some location photos – always a great spot and we’ll start there:
Looking great! The conditions were fantastic too as you can see with that great backlight!
We also have some fun behind the scenes action for you first with the replay of our Facebook Live broadcast:
And one more up close and personal with our guy before we head back to the studio:
Stud!!!
At this point we headed back to the studio to get a few more starting with this one…
How great is the bow tie? More seniors should wear these…. just sayin’
Here’s another behind the scenes replay – this time from YouTube Live:
And we’ll finish with one more casual shot from the studio:
And there you have it – Mason made it happen for sure, and we hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day with him!

Yes there is plenty of evidence of Emily being exceptional – not just on her senior session in case the title is misleading, because we’ve known this for a while. Really since the first time we met her and throughout her time representing the studio as a spokesmodel for the class of 2018! Plus she’s a North Farmington Raider which always helps, but she’s no ordinary Raider, she’s an accomplished musician and student athlete! She’s a total character as well so really she’s the whole package and we are huge fans!
Emily Being Exceptional
With Emily we traveled to Ann Arbor and spent the morning photographing on and around the U of M campus which obviously has lots of great spots, and her mom Jen joined – we always have a great time together with them! We’ll start with this one:
Stunningly beautiful!
Now there’s a little story with that one… we had a bit of an emergency situation with a big fat bumblebee who was hanging around in the flowers that decided to hitch a ride in Emily’s beautiful long hair and come along in the car…. let’s just say Emily was a little startled when she discovered Mr. Bumblebee. Holy moly…. haha! But Emily’s a trooper and she survived! Lol…
Meanwhile we do have some behind the scenes from our day – not of the bee but of the bee-yoo-tee. See what I did there? First with the replay of our Facebook Live broadcast:
Here are a couple more where we explored and took advantage of textures and architecture on campus:
Framed nicely with the full length shot!
Here’s some more behind the scenes fun from the YouTube Live replay:
And now with the close up…
Emily being exceptional indeed!
At this point after a delicious vegan lunch at The Lunch Room where our Lacey met up with us as well we headed back to the studio in West Bloomfield to get a couple more photos including some focus on volleyball – and this next photo is LIT…. We usually play with fire on the black backdrop but this one on the grey is just awesome…
A great one to finish on! So as you can see there was plenty of evidence of Emily being exceptional and we hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day with her!

Oh Olivia we love ya!!! We have loved this senior pretty much since we met her – she’s cool, smart, athletic, nice, pretty on the inside and out – the whole package! You may remember that she kicked off the spokesmodel sessions for the class of 2018 with some shots that have already solidified themselves as iconic shots in Frameable Faces lore!
Oh Olivia!
So needless to say we were excited to get her in front of Ally’s camera again this time outside in a gorgeous setting and the results are stunning as we knew they would be! Since we were exclusively in the studio the first time around we went totally on location this time joined by Olivia’s awesome mom Liz, and……wow!
Love it – the blue shirt and the blue eyes!
We also have some fun behind the scenes for you – first from the replay of our live broadcast from Facebook Live:
At this point we focused on some of the pretty colors we found – plenty of purple, green and yellow goldenrod like this one:
Love that – and that lighting is perfect! Olivia looks amazing.
We also have more behind the scenes from our replay of our YouTube Live broadcast – such a cool spot on the bridge…
And the sublime result…
What a session… and we’ll leave you with this one last photo:
Amazing!!! Oh Olivia we love ya for sure!!! And we hope you all enjoyed the highlights of our day with her!

Hmmmm….. how to achieve absolute clearcut cuteness…? Let’s see:
1 – Very smart sweet cute senior
1- Awesome Family
1- Perfect Day for shooting
Several – Undefinable intangibles that just make everything seem to work
Meet ahead of time, mix all ingredients together and serve!
Yep – the recipe worked. We definitely closed in on absolute clearcut cuteness with Chloe.
What was kind of fun was the parent trade off that happened! Chloe’s mom JJ and her dad Adam had just slightly overlapping schedules and so JJ was with us for some of the day and she “handed off” to Adam to hang out with us for the end of the session!
Absolute Clearcut Cuteness
So we started with a little bit of studio work which yielded this photo on the white background:
We love that one – just cool confident and chill!
At this point we headed out to Birmingham for location photos and we started at Quarton Lake where we got this stunning close up:
Wow!
We also have some fun behind the scenes for you starting with the replay of our YouTube Live broadcast – be sure to subscribe to our channel to tune in to future broadcasts!
We also headed into downtown Birmingham to get some city photos like this one – this photo is one that has one of those undefinable intangibles that we mentioned in the recipe above. We had no idea that the shadow of me holding “Reflecto” our reflector would form a big heart until we saw the result!
So fun!
And we also have more behind the scenes fun here from the replay of our Facebook Live broadcast:
And one more photo to share from the top of one of the parking structures – cool shot here…
Absolute clearcut cuteness indeed!
And there you have it – we hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day with Chloe!!!
