Alexandra made her debut at the studio as a newborn back in March, and we couldn’t wait to get her back for what was an adorable 6 month session! Something to make you smile – it certainly made us smile! Kim and Adam are very cool – we enjoy them, and cousin Cameron even came along to help. Let’s get to some smushy highlights of this cutie!!!
OMG. Right?
Next it was panda time… hehe…
Such a cute panda! We have some fun behind the scenes from this part of the session from Facebook:
And one more panda pic!
One of the reasons we love Kim and Adam is they have Alexandra started early on good music – this little one loves Bowie and Depeche Mode so we brought them into the mix so to speak!
Love it! And there you have it – an adorable 6 month session with Alexandra indeed! We hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day with her, and as one of our baby planners she’ll be back for her first birthday! We can’t wait…
Here we have one of those surreal moments when we photograph our goddaughter Riley whom we’ve known since birth for her senior pictures! Riley has been on our blog before in family portraits and for her bat mitzvah and we love her – she’s family. Her mom Monique joined us for what turned out to be a perfect day! This is a special session also because it’s the first time we’ve ever done a senior session at Mill Race Village in Northville! We now have a permit to photograph there and we are listed on their website so check out the site! Should be great for some fall sessions this year, but I digress…. the point of this post is RILEY! And yes, we are RILED UP to show you the highlights…..in the very best way! Hyped, stoked – you name it! Let’s go…
Most of these photos are at Mill Race like this one we took in the gazebo…
Our gorgeous goddaughter!!!!
We also have some behind the scenes from the session first from Facebook:
So fun!
Here are a couple more from Mill Race including this spot which was one of several that actually drew Riley to the park – it rained heavily the day before which gave us some more activity with the rapids – the whole scene looks so cool!
She’s adorable. Are we biased? YEP. SORRY NOT SORRY.
And this little vista by the water is really nice… Riley is actually IN the water here…

Tada!!!! It’s Tamara! A class of 2021 senior at Royal Oak Shrine and a legacy here at Frameable Faces since we photographed her sister Tia a couple years ago. We love these guys – it’s always a family affair and Tamara’s sister Tara joined us on the session! Meanwhile Tamara is a total sweetheart and we had an epic day with multiple locations for her session so let’s get to the highlights!
We started out at Goldner Walsh Home & Garden again in Pontiac – it’s such a great location for photographing seniors!
She’s adorable!!!
We also have some fun behind the scenes from our day – first from Facebook:
And here’s one more from Goldner Walsh:
How great is that chair with Ally shooting through the flowers? Tamara looks beautiful.
At this point we changed locations to Dodge Park at Cass Lake for some fun…
First on a bridge with the water in the background – love this photo:
Then for the coup de grace Tamara got IN the water! Tada! Hehe…
Here’s the behind the scenes from Instagram:
….and the result!
Gorgeous!!!
What a great day with Tamara we had! We hope you enjoyed the highlights of her session!
Giulianna is one of our peeps – a spokesmodel for the class of 2021 and we had a fabulous session with her in Detroit back in June, so we were pumped to have her back for another round for her senior pictures! Yep – this is Juju part two – back to Detroit for more!!! Once again her delightful mom Barb came with and we had a blast, so let’s get to some highights!
Yes this photo is in downtown Detroit! And it’s awesome:
Gorgeous – love the little footbridge and we have some behind the scenes fun from this one on Facebook:
Here’s another one with some beautiful flowers as a backdrop!
Okay – just stunning!!!! And this is a good spot to shout out Mary Qarana (a former Frameable Faces senior herself) for Juju’s makeup – just a brilliant job!
We headed over to Eastern Market for some murals too…
What a perfect day we had…. Here’s some more behind the scenes fun this time from Instagram:
Like the song Sara Smile which is a nice, soulful, pretty song, Sara is adorable and nice too and it made us smile to hang out with her and her mom Diana for her senior pictures in Birmingham! A Class of 2021 senior at Seaholm, Sara has plenty on the ball and on pointe as a ballet dancer! We’ve known Diana for several years but this was our first hangout with Sara and we had a great day so let’s get to a few highlights shall we?
All of these photos are from downtown Birmingham and we had fine weather too…
A great smile from Sara there!
We also have some fun behind the scenes first from Facebook:
This next one was actually taken at the restaurant Adachi with thanks to our friend who manages it!
Love it!
These next two are unique with the reflection and the grate with the air blowing out of it! We love these… first the reflection:
…and the grate!
So fun! And we’ll leave you with the TikTok recap with a little glimpse of Sara on pointe back at the studio!
@frameablefaces##SeniorPictures with @saraaa633 what an awesome day!!! 🥰🩰 ##ClassOf2021 ##Seaholm ##balletdancer ##MetroDetroit ##FrameableFaces♬ original sound – frameablefaces
And there you have it! Sara smile – she did, and she made us do it too! We hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day with her!
Mademoiselle Maddy made magic indeed at a spot we’ve never photographed, and what a spot it is! Her senior session was a breath of fresh air – for starters she’s adorable, nice, an artist and wants to be a teacher! She is a rising class of 2021 West Bloomfield High School senior and we actually went to high school with her dad Mike! Her mom Angela, her stepmom Jennifer, just everyone involved in the planning were all pleasures to work with and it was Angela who joined us at Goldner Walsh Garden & Home in Pontiac for a beautiful day! We did the entire session there except the yearbook headshot, and we can do future sessions there for a fee too! So let’s get to the highlights!
The cool thing about this place is not only all the plants and flowers they have inside, but the very cool props they have outdoors – almost like a little amphitheater for events, a bridge – all kinds of things to work with such as this little structure below:
How beautiful is that – and she?
We have some behind the scenes from our day as well first from Facebook (although the signal gets a little shaky):
At this point we had an outfit change in our portable dressing room and went exploring a little – yes the place is that big and there is beauty everywhere…
Love it.
Here’s another with the same blue jumpsuit with a pretty trellis and great backlight:
Here’s a another outfit and a couple more spots – we’re including an extra photo because this was a fantastic session and we want to show a little more of Goldner Walsh as well as Mademoiselle Maddy!
This one was indoors and we have behind the scenes highlights from this one from Instagram:
Sammy is a ray of sunshine – so much personality and a real delight to photograph, and what’s more is the very cool connection I (Doug) have with her family! They bought the house I grew up in from my parents years ago! They don’t live there anymore but we shared the same “view of the world” literally for a time and that will always connect us. Sammy’s parents Jen & Bert are great and they even joined for part of the session with the family pups! Sammy is a Bloomfield Hills Blackhawk just like our kids were so that’s even another reason to like her! Hehe… so enough gushing – let’s let the pics do the talking!
We actually started in the studio with Sammy and the fam….and the fan! Let’s highlight one of the black and blowy pics first:
LOVE.
We also have some fun behind the scenes action first from Facebook:
At this point it was time to head out on location to Birmingham for that summer in the sun fun we talked about…
Just gorgeous! And we have behind the scenes from this photo too – this time from Instagram:
And then there’s this one with the fabulous backlight…
Just stunning… Good spot here to shout out Caroline at Mandy Rose for the makeup as well!
We’ll leave you with this one:
And there you have it! Summer in the sun with Sammy was a session to remember and we hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day with her!
Being captivated by Clare is a great shot in the arm – spending time with this girl and her delightful mom Nicole on a perfect day taking pictures is just the ticket and we loved it – the results speak for themselves! Clare is a rising senior at Mercy High School and an athlete to boot. We went to Birmingham for these photos and we are so happy to present these highlights!
Let’s get to some highlights at Quarton Lake!
LOVE!!! Let’s also give a shout out to Caroline at Mandy Rose Studio for the awesome job on Clare’s makeup!
We also have some fun behind the scenes from the day first from Facebook:
Here’s another one from Quarton Lake – Clare is stunning in red!
At this point we headed into downtown and Clare broke out the varsity letter jacket!
Love the ripped jeans and cool kicks…
Here’s the behind the scenes this time from Instagram:

Yes we made magic with Micole in Detroit – senior picture magic! Micole is a rising senior in the class of 2021 at Bloomfield Hills High School, and we LOVE our Blackhawks since our own kids were Blackhawks! Part of what made this session special was that Micole’s whole fam joined us – parents Sarah and Todd and little brother Ari – and it was pretty cool to have everyone there to join in and celebrate this girl. She’s smart and adorable and we really enjoyed spending the day with her! So let’s get to some highlights!
We actually started with a few pics in the studio so let’s highlight one of those first:
Love the ripped denim and the tie dye! We also have some fun behind the scenes from the day first from Instagram Live:
At this point it was time to head downtown and we had a great day for it! We hit Belle Isle first…
Gotta love when the fountain is on!
Here’s a closeup on one of our favorite bridges there:
Okay she is stunning…
After hanging on the island for a while we finished up over by Eastern Market, and we have a little more behind the scenes fun this time from Facebook:
….and the result!
Magic with Micole indeed! And there you have it! We hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day with her!
