Legendary is a good way to describe Lexy’s senior session – definitely memorable – definitely awesome. We went to Detroit and we were joined by Lexy’s delightful mom Marisa! We had a perfect day weather wise so everything lined up for this one. Let’s get to some highlights!
Lexy’s Legendary Session
We started at the DIA where we had to fend off a wedding party to get our shot! Lol – not really but it gave us an audience! Hehe…
Gorgeous girl!
We also have some fun behind the scenes first from Facebook:
…and one more from that location:
So pretty.
Okay, so from there we headed down to Eastern Market with another outfit change for this stunner:
We also have a little more behind the scenes with our TikTok from the session:
And we’ll leave you with one more from the Riverwalk:
What a great one to end with!!! Love that photo, and we love Lexy! We hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day with her!

The official senior sessions of the class of 2022 have begun and we are quite excited to be jumping into it with Jordyn! We’ve known Jordyn and her fam for many years and she is awesome. Adorable and sharp as a knife – we could hang out with her and her mom Jodi all day, and that’s what we did! We also LUCKED OUT because the weather was perfect during our session, followed by a deluge that even flooded much of the mall that evening (everything’s fine and the water didn’t make it to our door) so this sesh was meant to be!
Let’s get to the highlights…
Jumping Into the Class of 2022 with Jordyn
Let’s also give a shout out to Mandy Rose Studio for Jordyn’s makeup (done by Yasmine) which looked fantastic. We started out at Belle Isle and actually spent the majority of our time there…
LOVE HER
One more from this spot up close!
We even have some fun behind the scenes from the day with a “Jodi Takeover” – it’s been a bit since we had a mom do that – may have to bring more of those back! Ha!
One more from the island…
How adorable is she? At this point we headed over to Eastern Market to get a couple with some murals – this could be our fave of those:
Pretty in pink!
We’ll also leave you with a little more behind the scenes with a TikTok recap!
So there you have it! We had so much fun with Jordyn! We hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day with her!

Obvi with that title amirite? Yep – Sammy is a talented dude – he tore it up on Master Chef Junior a few years back and it’s pretty nice to have a great chef in the family – we know because he’s our nephew! Obviously he’s been on our blog before like this post of the highlights of his bar mitzvah, and of course we are delighted to have him representing our studio for Berkley High School for the class of 2022 and this is one of those surreal sessions for us to see him as a rising high school senior!
Sammy Cooks Up Some Killer Pics
We went with Sammy to Detroit and of course his mom Stacy joined us – we went to Eastern Market where you can get all the ingredients you need!
Plenty of great murals down there!
We also have some behind the scenes for you first from Facebook Live:
Let’s take a look at one more of the man on a mural…
At this point Sam’s future was getting so bright he had to wear shades.
From there we headed over to Belle Isle and as it turned out we were pretty limited because they were setting up for the Grand Prix, but when you’re forced to explore a little you find a new spot like this one – here’s the behind the scenes from Instagram this time:
So there you have it! What a stud, and we hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day with him! Time to get on the schedule for your senior pics – it’s June and we are starting to book sessions….!

Up and Adam! That’s what we did on an early Friday morning with Noah & Ellen to head down to Eastern Market to photograph Adam for his senior pictures! This is not the first time we’ve photographed this kid. We were there for his bar mitzvah when our Angela captured his event, along with his brother Jesse’s and some earlier family pics too! These guys are friends of ours going back almost 30 years, but I digress – this post is about Adam being a Class of 2021 Walled Lake Western senior and bringing his sense of style to the proceedings – we would expect nothing less from this dude! So let’s get to it!
Up and Adam!
Adam is da man – he looks great!
Lots of colors with the murals in the market – like this one…
Love it! We also have some fun behind the scenes first from Facebook:
One outfit change later, here’s another mural with our dude:
Love this guy’s style! We also have a TikTok to share from the day…

In yesterday’s post Twinning and Winning – Part 1 – And We Ain’t Lyin’ About Ryann! we went all Ladies First with Ryann’s highlights with a twin pic of Ryann and Shane together mixed in. Today we reverse it and get on the Shane Train!!! Shane is a good dude and he was a trooper on these two days in Detroit taking all these pics with his sis! We had a great time with these two and here are more of the highlights!
On The Shane Train
We’ll start with one of our favorite mosaic murals in Eastern Market:
Looking good!!!
Here’s one from Belle Isle with a pretty cool composition – an angle we hadn’t used before:
We posted a photo from the cool ivy wall we found in Detroit yesterday of Ryann, and here’s some behind the scenes of that spot from Facebook Live:
And a result with Shane:
Pretty cool huh?
We grabbed this black and white on the Wayne State campus – big fans of how this one turned out:
Our last spot was by a very cool sculpture – also a somewhat random find… and here’s the behind the scenes from Instagram:
And we’ll leave you with one of those of the twins together!
Love them!
You can see why we weren’t lyin’ about Ryann yesterday and why we are on the Shane Train today!!! We hope you enjoyed the highlights of our time with these two!!!

What an epic senior session(s) odyssey we embarked on with twins Ryann and Shane!!! In this post we’ll go ladies first – we love this girl and we ain’t lyin….about Ryann!!! What a sweetheart and the two of them are pretty hilarious together we have to say. Definitely a twin bond that you can feel. We’re going to focus on some individual photos of Ryann here and some individuals of Shane tomorrow but with one together in each post. These two are legacies too since we photographed older brother Ian from the class of 2019!
Twinning & Winning & ain’t lyin’ about Ryann…
We went to Detroit with these two – twice! The plan with their parents Faith and John was to make sure we had plenty of opportunities to get as many pics as we needed in as many spots as necessary with some of them individually and some together. We all felt that we didn’t want to be rushed, and this allowed us to break it up without going on a marathon day long shoot. So you’ll see some photos mixed in here from both days!
Here’s a little behind the scenes to give you a taste of the first day in Eastern Market before we get to a few higlights from Facebook Live:
Now some highlights of Ryann’s pics!
Just stunning!!! We had a decent amount of wind at that point but it works to nice effect on Ryann’s hair above! Lots of color in and around Eastern Market as well and Ryann Rocked it. Here’s another one…
Love the black on the black wall…
Here’s one from day two on a random ivy covered wall I just spotted as we were driving by…
Love it. That wall won’t be so random for us anymore!
And one more in this outfit on the Wayne State Campus which is really nice…
Now let’s bring Shane into the picture (pun intended) for this fun twin pic:
Awesome!!! Twinning and winning indeed and you can see we weren’t lyin’ about Ryann! We had so much fun with these two and we hope you enjoyed part 1 of the highlights! Part two is the next post!

Izabela – aka Izzy to her friends – is in the hizzy, and on our blog!!! What an adorable young lady, but we’re not surprised since we kinda watched her grow up and her parents are great people. But this summer has been the first time we’ve really had the chance to hang out with her and we’ve loved every minute of it! Her mom Nadica joined us for a wonderful day in Detroit – we laughed a lot and got some incredible photos, so let’s get to the highlights!
Izzy In The Hizzy
It was an afternoon session so we started first in the Eastern Market area, figuring our lighting for the Belle Isle photos would be better as the sun got a little lower in the sky for what we wanted. We went to one of our favorite walls first:
Okay how cute is she??? We also have some fun behind the scenes for you first from Facebook Live:
Next we hit up a spot that we’ve never used before – these painted cement barrel type things…. lol! We LOVE this one:
So cool!!!
In staying with the color texture theme we have this next one, where there is something about the wind blown look that we think is really appealing. Just a moment captured where Izzy looks so beautiful.
At this point we headed to Belle Isle and listen, these were really hard to choose to share for this post… We actually went to the graffiti bridge for some fun and we livestreamed there, but we’ve posted photos on the blog from there before and the last photo we’ll share is undeniable with the purple dress and purple flowers… First the Instagram LIVE at the bridge:
…and then the purple to leave you with:
WOW.
Okay so there it is – you can see why we were thrilled that Izzy was in the hizzy, and we hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day with her!

A happy Hannah happening was what we had in downtown Detroit on this senior session! We go back to high school with Hannah’s mom Robyn so this was one of those surreal sessions for us and it was certainly one to remember! Hannah’s dad Glenn came along as well and we had a blast. As for Hannah we just have to say that she has this fun and infectious personality that totally draws you in – just a cool and nice girl who isn’t afraid to have a good laugh! We loved working with her and she had an amazing session, so let’s get to the pics!
Happy Hannah Happening in the D
Hannah decided on Detroit so we spent all of our time there, and we started on Belle Isle where we got the cool skyline photo that we love!
Okay she’s adorable.
We also have some fun behind the scenes for you first from the replay of the Facebook Live broadcast:
We grabbed a few more photos on Belle Isle too – first on the red bridge up close and personal with our girl:
That backlight is kickin’!
And we also went back to the graffiti bridge – here’s some more behind the scenes from Instagram:
….and the result:
Love it!!!
We made a location change to Eastern Market to finish up the day and found a few awesome murals – here’s one of them to leave you with:
A happy Hannah happening indeed!!! We hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day with her!

It’s time for the Jack Attack!!! As in Jack’s senior pics in Detroit where we had an epic day! Jack is a legacy here which is always fun since we photographed his big sis Kylie too a couple years ago! With Jack we hit a bunch of spots including some Pie-Sci Pizza which is becoming our go to – we love hanging in Detroit! Jack’s mom Kelly joined as well, so let’s get to the highlights shall we?
Jack Attack in the D
We started out at Belle Isle and we used the fountain with a new angle that we haven’t used before for a really cool photo of Jack with the fountain way in the distance…
Love this – pretty sure we’ll be doing this again – it will be known as “The Jack” shot.
We also have some behind the scenes first from the replay of our Instagram Live broadcast:
We also grabbed a photo of Jack on the red bridge that we really like there before moving on to get some murals…
At this point we headed over to the Eastern Market to get some photos of Jack with some murals and we discovered this huge one of some of Jack’s favorite hip hop artists – we’re including it here as an extra for fun – Jack is small in the photo but the whole thing is pretty sweet – check it out:
And here we have some behind the scenes this time from Facebook Live before we get to a couple more photos:
Fun right? Okay two more photos:
Lots of great spots to photograph in the D…
And there you have it – the Detroit takeover with the Jack Attack! We hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day with him!

It’s pretty hard to believe that after basically 9 years of photographing seniors that we never photographed a Farmington Falcon! So finally……enter Kristen! Kristen came to us as a cousin of some former seniors of ours and we were pretty excited to keep the chain going and get some Falcon love on our blog! Kristen was a perfect first Falcon too, so let’s get to it!
First Falcon…
Kristen had a little entourage for her session here at the studio and her lovely mom Jordon met us downtown for the location shoot at Eastern Market as well – much fun! After a quick few shots in the studio we stopped at a park in Farmington before we headed downtown and that’s where we’ll pick up the action:
Nice!!!
We also have some behind the scenes fun as usual from there in a Facebook Live replay:
At this point we headed downtown and we were actually a little nervous because it rained on the way down – it was NOT supposed to! But we lucked out – the weather held once we got down there and we were able to get some great shots. Not to mention an overcast sky can really work to your advantage anyway because the light is nice and diffused.
Love that…
Here’s another:
The color is so vibrant and with the flowers on Kristen’s shirt it ties in nicely!
Time for a little more behind the scenes fun this time from our YouTube Live broadcast replay!
And we’ll leave you with one more photo…
And there you have it! Our First Falcon was a winner and we hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day with her!
