We’re excited to bring you another cameo from Chloe here on our blog! Chloe is representing our studio as a spokesmodel for the class of 2019 at Birmingham Groves and she’s the third and final Frameable Faces senior of three sisters in this family! Chloe is closing a chapter you might say…and while she might be last she’s certainly not least!
Chloe Makes Another Cameo
For Chloe’s session her mom Krista accompanied us to Birmingham where we got some natural settings and some city settings – we’ll start with the natural first…
So pretty!!!
We also have some behind the scenes fun from the session – first with the replay of the Facebook Live broadcast:
At this point we headed over to downtown Birmingham where we got some great stuff! Like this…
And this….
We also have some behind the scenes from the Instagram Live we did as well:
And we’ll leave you with one more photo:
A little patriotic flair on that one – she was born on the 4th of July after all…! And there you have it – another cameo from Chloe and it’s a fine one! We hope you enjoyed the highlights of our morning with her!

Okay so there’s no such thing really as a “jump shot” in photography terminology. We technically don’t even use the word “shots” often, preferring to call them “photos”. However in this case we’ll make an exception because a “jump shot” IS a basketball term, Jada is a hoopster, and she makes us want to jump (for joy of course) when we have her in the studio, so “jump shots with Jada” it is! Jada’s mom Glenda is a delight as well and we were really happy they picked us!
Jump Shots With Jada
Jada plays guard for the West Bloomfield Lakers and we love photographing athletes so we planned a few photos in her uniform, but before we get to those we played around with multiple colors and outfits all in the studio which is a lot of fun – it gives us a chance to kind of stretch out and experiment a little without having to get going outside at some point:
Okay, she’s adorable…
We also have plenty of fun behind the scenes action – first with the replay of the Facebook LIVE video:
Love that gold… next we moved to the red background with the red couch for this “BOSS” photo…
Just slaying the camera there… OWNING it!!!
Next we brought out the black backdrop and this combo just worked!
Gorgeous.
Now it was time to get out the Laker gear and get some FIRE going… We have some behind the scenes of the hoops photos with the flaming ball too that we streamed on Instagram – don’t try this at home you crazy kids….
And the fiery result:
So cool!!! We loved our jump shots with Jada and we hope you liked the highlights of our day with her!

Alliteration runs wild as we’re classifying Claudia’s Closeups as Clearly The Cat’s Pajamas!!! They are indeed and we’re not surprised. Claudia has represented our studio as a spokesmodel this year at our beloved alma mater North Farmington High School and we couldn’t be prouder. She’s really “put her best foot forward” – more on that in a sec. The truth is we do love this girl and we’ve been so happy to get to know her and her delightful momma Sandy. We have a ball when we’re hanging out with these girls.
Best Foot Forward
Meanwhile Claudia achieved a little fame this year – well part of her did. You see, our school now has a tradition that has become well known and even covered in the online media such as Mashable which involves dressing up as hilarious characters for their student IDs and these shenanigans tend to go viral. Here’s the screen shot from the Mashable article which saved Claudia’s as the best for last…..
What an ID!!!! LOL….so hilarious. Nice work Claudia!
Meanwhile we wanted to get some photos of not just Claudia’s foot, so we headed out on location to a few natural settings on a nice sunny day armed with a few wardrobe changes and here are the highlights!
Claudia’s Closeups
Wow! Claudia looks amazing in the meadow! We have some fun behind the scenes action for you as well,
And another result from the preserve:
Stunning…
At this point we moved to another location where we saw (and avoided) a bee’s nest about the size of a large watermelon…. whoa. But we got more great photos – all of Claudia’s closeups from this day as we stated in the title were the cat’s pajamas…
We also have more behind the scenes fun this time from Facebook:
And one last photo from our day:
Just beautiful!!!
So there you have it – classfying Claudia’s closeups as the cat’s pajamas was clearly on point – wouldn’t you agree? We hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day with her!

Wow – Jeremy’s senior session was the jam – an epic day that took us from their home on the lake all the way down to Detroit for some Eastern Market Mustang Mural Madness and back to the studio for some pics with a KICK! What a day… and what a family! Love these guys and they joined us too!
Jeremy’s Jam
After a brief start at the homestead with a few extended family photos we headed to downtown Detroit and the Eastern Market neighborhood for a couple murals, but this was no ordinary senior-with-a-mural shot – okay none of them are “ordinary”, but this was a mural Jeremy and his parents had their eye on – a huge Ford Mustang, and a perfect spot to park Jeremy’s Mustang in front of! SO COOL – here’s a little video of us getting the shot and it took a little trial and error to get the lighting right but Ally finally found the spot for the off camera flash which you can see on the ground in this video…
…and here’s is the killer result!
Love that photo! A first for us of its kind…
We also grabbed another mural photo up close with Jeremy here – also a first with a mosaic wall we had been wanting to use for a while (we’ve already been back since):
Love it!
Session With A Kick
After a stop at Pie-Sci for the best Pizza in Detroit we headed back to the studio to finish things up and we started with the yearbook photo and then a few more formal pics…
Looking sharp!
Next we got some soccer gear going – we love sports photos especially when they’re on FIRE! Here’s some more behind the scenes fun this time from the replay of our Facebook Live broadcast:
And one of the fiery results (which almost burned down the studio…lol):
Another first – with the flaming ball on the foot! Jeremy’s Jam was a session of firsts and we got a real KICK out of it indeed! We hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day with him!

You’ve heard of Syd Vicious? Well say hello to Syd-licious! We can call her that because we’ve known her since she was in Kindergarten with our Tony and now she’s a beautiful smart, nice, funny young lady!!! Weird how that happens. She’s been in front of Ally’s camera before…..a DECADE ago!
Exhibit A:
She was sooo cute!!!
…and now she’s gorgeous!
Syd-Licious
We had such a great day with Syd, her mom Bec and little sister Hayden! Like old times.
We also have some fun behind the scenes for you first from the Instagram Live replay!
Here’s another highlight using the tree…
Love it!!!
We have one more in the white tank…
Adorable.
At this point we did another outfit change and we have more behind the scenes fun coming at you from the Facebook Live broadcast:
And we’ll leave you with one more highlight – LOVE this one:
Great one to finish on with Syd! We love this girl and we hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day with her!

We love this kid – he’s been a buddy of our Tony for years and he’s a great kid – and he’s a character in a good way. Thinking about him can make us smile – Elan epitomizes character, as in he has it and he IS it! We’ve spent plenty of time with his mom Julie over the years too – in the bleachers at swim meets, football games and even in her chair at her office (she’s our dentist)! These guys were the first to call us for the class of 2019 so we had this on our radar and our calendar for a long time and we had fun…!!!
Elan Epitomizes Character…
We did a combo of studio and location work with Elan and we’ll start in the studio:
Now that’s a dapper dude…
We also have some fun behind the scenes action – first with the replay of our Facebook Live broadcast:
At this point we headed out on location for a few – first with a cool textured wall that we like, and some photos just look good in black and white like this one!
Next we wanted some natural settings so we’ll finish with these:
Digging the flannel!
We also have the behind the scenes Snapchat story for you here with a few fun filters too…
And we’ll leave you with one more up close and personal!
And there you have it! Elan epitomizes character and it comes through in the photos! We hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day with him!

It was advantage Donovan for sure as he totally dominated the game on his senior session on a perfect August day! We’ve known “Big D” as we’ve always called him since he and our Tony were kindergartners at Doherty about a dozen years ago, and Donovan and his little sis Camie were actually in the window of our studio here when we first opened! Love this family and Donovan’s mom whom I’ve always called “Downtown Julie Brown” and Camie both joined us on Donovan’s session! His dad Steve was home sleeping (that’s a little inside joke). As a matter of fact we did a CAMIE TAKEOVER on all the behind the scenes which is pretty much the cutest thing ever, so yes this was one to remember.
Advantage Donovan
We started on the tennis courts at Bloomfield Hills High School where Donovan plays on the team, and his serve is like a cannon shot… We also started the Camie takeover here BUT *****CAUTION***** this is the only behind the scenes that you may not be able to really get through because Facebook Creator was really glitchy this time and we didn’t know until afterward. The audio is okay but you may want to skip further down to the Snapchat story and the Instagram Live. Our apologies on that – so let’s get it out of the way….
Now here is the tennis result:
Looking good!
Next we moved on to some natural settings and got some great stuff…
And now for the best of the Camie takeover – the Snapchat Story! This is so fun!
Here’s one more from one of our locations:
What a stud!
At this point it was time to head back to the studio and we fired up the Instagram Live:
And here’s dapper Donovan with the suit and tie look!
And there you have it! Advantage Donovan indeed and we hope you enjoyed the highlights from our day with him!

It’s time for the Jack Attack!!! As in Jack’s senior pics in Detroit where we had an epic day! Jack is a legacy here which is always fun since we photographed his big sis Kylie too a couple years ago! With Jack we hit a bunch of spots including some Pie-Sci Pizza which is becoming our go to – we love hanging in Detroit! Jack’s mom Kelly joined as well, so let’s get to the highlights shall we?
Jack Attack in the D
We started out at Belle Isle and we used the fountain with a new angle that we haven’t used before for a really cool photo of Jack with the fountain way in the distance…
Love this – pretty sure we’ll be doing this again – it will be known as “The Jack” shot.
We also have some behind the scenes first from the replay of our Instagram Live broadcast:
We also grabbed a photo of Jack on the red bridge that we really like there before moving on to get some murals…
At this point we headed over to the Eastern Market to get some photos of Jack with some murals and we discovered this huge one of some of Jack’s favorite hip hop artists – we’re including it here as an extra for fun – Jack is small in the photo but the whole thing is pretty sweet – check it out:
And here we have some behind the scenes this time from Facebook Live before we get to a couple more photos:
Fun right? Okay two more photos:
Lots of great spots to photograph in the D…
And there you have it – the Detroit takeover with the Jack Attack! We hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day with him!

Kilowatts are units of energy and it’s an appropriate word to describe the awesomeness that is Kaitlyn. She’s a bundle of infectious personality and energy and we just LOVE her. We’ve said this before but we’ll say it again – she’s one of our all time favorite people and we couldn’t think of anyone better to photograph on Ally’s birthday! Kaitlyn and her mom Sara even brought us Yummy Cupcakes to celebrate!
What’s funny is the timing of this has me (Doug) writing this on MY birthday which has me smiling too! Kaitlyn is representing our studio this year as a spokesmodel at Bloomfield Hills High School at our son Tony’s suggestion and he was spot on with that recommendation. We had an epic spokesmodel session with Kaitlyn in Detroit and we couldn’t wait to get her in front of Ally’s camera again! But could we top it??? A million kilowatts of awesomeness with Kaitlyn would suggest a resounding YES!!!
A Million Kilowatts Of Awesomeness With Kaitlyn
The last time Katilyn was here we got some studio stuff along with the Detroit pics and this time we decided to spend all of our quality time outside for some natural scenery – of course we upped the ante a bit which we’ll get to but we’ll start in the meadow:
So beautiful with the pop of color!
We also have some behind the scenes fun starting with the Instagram Live replay where you can see I had a little fun with Sara – and who by the way is totally delightful which comes as no surprise as Kaitlyn’s mom.
As a little bonus here is a bit of twitter trolling from the video above… hehe….
LOL.
At this point it was time to add some KILOWATTS OF AWESOMENESS to the session.
Wow.
And if that weren’t enough, we finished with Kaitlyn IN the water!!! First here is the behind the scenes replay of the Facebook Live broadcast:
And now….. well we’ll let these speak for themselves.
Just stunning!
One of our favorite sessions ever. We’re going to include the Snapchat Story here too while we’re at it:
So there you go… such a wonderful day and fantastic session. A million kilowatts of awesomeness with Kaitlyn! We hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day with her!

Twin baby sisters are such a special treat especially when they’re newborns! Emma and Elena came to the studio with mom and dad Elyse and Erik and they were so adorable!!! They were very easy to photograph too – they spent most of the time sleeping which is perfect for photographing newborns. So let’s get right to the preciousness!
Twin Baby Sisters Are Twice As Nice
We’ll kick it off with this one of the two holding hands in black and white! So connected.
Beautiful.
Okay how awesome are they?
We also have some fun behind the scenes from the Facebook Live replay – check it out:
Now for a couple of individual photos:
So precious…
And one last one – it’s a tricky photo to get but when you can make it work the results are priceless!
And there you have it – twice as nice indeed! We loved having the girls here and we hope you enjoyed the highlights of our morning with them!
