A Legendary Day With Loren In Detroit For Senior Pictures!

Wow what a day with Loren!  Loren was so adorable the first time she came to the studio – she had been following along with some of our sessions on Instagram and elsewhere on social media as many do and she was totally fired up for her turn!  She and her mom Lili had some great ideas for the session and it led us to some things we had never tried before!  We’ll get to that in a little bit, but suffice it to say (as you’re about to see) this was a legendary day with Loren for sure!  Dad Eugen and little bro David even hung out and jumped in for a couple photos at one point so it was a family affair and we had a lot of fun, but this blog post is about Loren, so let’s get to a few pics!

Legendary Day

We started on Belle Isle as we often do and got this image of our girl with the skyline in the background:

Legendary Day

We also have some fun behind the scenes from the day starting with the replay from the livestream on Instagram!

We stayed on Belle Isle for a bit and also got this pretty photo of Loren in the willow!

Legendary DayLove that one!

At this point we switched locations and headed over to the Belt where we captured a cool pic of Loren looking off to her future!  Hehe…

Legendary Day

The overalls with the Hamilton socks rock!

And now for the coup d’état!  It was getting towards evening and it was a little chilly – not quite carnival weather, and yet we had plans for the carousel on the riverwalk – add a perfect dress to match and a legendary photo is created!  We even made this one into a metal sample for the studio!  Truly a fairy tale photo – and first here’s the behind the scenes on Facebook Live!

And the result!

Legendary Day

Amazing!

Yes it was a legendary day that we won’t forget with Loren, and we hope you enjoyed the highlights!

Just A Solid Senior Session With A Solid Guy – Say Hello To Eric!

We’ve known Eric for a while – not that long, but long enough to know he’s a solid guy.   That’s the best word really – just solid you know?  He’s been a Bloomfield Hills Blackhawk football teammate of our Tony for 4 seasons but we really started to get to know Eric best over the last year or so, so we were really pleased to have him here at the studio with his parents Kimberly and Vince for some straightforward, low key and yeah, just solid pics for his senior session.  He’s got a great head on his shoulders, knows he wants to be in law enforcement and just the kind of guy you would want your kid hanging with.

Solid Guy Eric

This session took place completely in the studio and we started on the grey paper backdrop:

Solid Guy

Dapper – digging that business casual look!

We also have some fun behind the scenes from the broadcast on Facebook Live:

A couple more on the grey – including this super cool classic shot in black and white:

Solid Guy

Looks great.

And another close up in color…

Solid Guy

At this point we switched to the black background and we’ll leave you with this full length image:

Solid Guy

Just solid as we said!  We hope you enjoyed the highlights of our time in the studio with Eric!

Anika Serves Up An Ace Of A Senior Session – Wow!

We love our seniors as you know, and we’re always really impressed with seniors who take the initiative to call the studio themselves and set up their own session!  This is not a knock on the seniors whose parents make the call, but we love when we can hear the confidence and eloquence of a young person who can handle themselves so well right off the bat!  This was the case with Anika, and that first impression was just the tip of the iceberg.  She is such a sweetheart!  Anika is also the number 1 ranked tennis player in the state of Michigan and is leaving this month to embark on her journey to play tennis at the University of North Carolina!  Doug’s Godfather played football at UNC back in the 50’s so we’ve always had a slight affinity for the Carolina Blue and White and now we’ll have a personal connection there with someone whose career we are excited to follow!

Anika Serves Up An Ace

As for her senior session it was one to remember – both her parents Pat and Sushma joined us for her day and they are both delightful – we had a lot of fun – and the photos?  Just awesome – an ACE of a session for sure and you could say we “LOVE” this girl – see what we did there?  Let’s get to the highlights!

We’ll start in the studio on the black…

Ace

Beautiful!

We played around with the white background too – so many options and it has been hard to narrow these down for this blog post…  In the meantime we have some fun behind the scenes first from the replay of the Facebook Live broadcast in the studio:

At this point we headed out to the tennis courts for some location photos and we had some really cool Michigan fall colors in the background for a tennis setting which was pretty neat as Anika donned some UNC gear:

Ace

Servin’ and slayin’….

We also have some behind the scenes fun from the tennis court at West Bloomfield High School from our Instagram livestream – take a look:

From there we headed over to Birmingham and these next two are both closeups but they’re just too good – so instead of choosing we’re leaving you with these two… one on the dock at Quarton Lake:

Ace

And one with a change of wardrobe and a natural background – awesome!!!

Ace

Anika served up an ACE of a session indeed, she’s got the ADVANTAGE for life, and we LOVE her for sure!  We hope you enjoyed the highlights of our time with her!

Ben Is A Baller – On The Pitch, In The City and On His Senior Session!

Yes Ben plays soccer and he’s a baller – but we think that applies to more than just how he plays on the pitch.  We’ve known Ben and his family for a long time and he’s a good dude – you could say being a baller is just an overall description of this guy.  Good kid, involved in the community, athlete, student – he’s got it all, and we had a lot of fun with him and his mom Leigh on his senior session!

Ben Is A Baller

We started on location and headed over to Bloomfield Hills High School first to get a few photos of Ben in his gear – this is a great one!

Baller

Bad ass…

As usual we have some fun behind the scenes from the day starting with the replay of our broadcast on Facebook Live:

Time now for a change in location over to downtown Birmingham first with this cool close up:

Baller

And how about this one with the city lights and the Birmingham Theater marquee!

Baller

At this point we headed back to the studio to finish up once we ran out of daylight and we’ll leave you with this portrait of our guy:

Baller

Awesome!  We also have the behind the scenes Snapchat story for you – the filters are missing for some weird reason but it’s still plenty fun!

And there you have it – Ben is a baller and he delivered on an awesome senior session!  We hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day with him!

Oh DEER! We Made Incredible Senior Session Memories With Meg!

Oh deer…. hehe.  I think we’ll just leave that here and we’ll come back to it later.

Meanwhile we had a delightful day with Detroit Country Day senior and future Central Michigan Chippewas field hockey player Meg and her mom Jennifer on a memorable senior session first here at the studio and then on location!  We’ll start in the studio:

Senior Session Memories With Meg!

The white backdrop is just a nice simple and contemporary look and Meg rocked it…

Oh Deer

She is adorable.

Fire up Chips!  No Really – FIRE UP!

We’ve had a run on accomplished athletes for the class of 2019 which has us thinking about making college sports updates for former Frameables a thing going forward, and Meg is going to be continuing her career in field hockey at CMU as we mentioned before.  So let’s FIRE up Chips!  Like, for real…

First a little behind the scenes of what we mean from the Facebook Live broadcast:

And the result!

Oh Deer

Don’t mess with Meg…

At this point we headed out on location to get some photos in a natural setting and we had a great day for it:

Oh Deer

Wow!!!  And that backlight….

We have some more behind the scenes this time from Instagram

And the photo in the leaves…

Oh Deer

Oh DEER….

Meanwhile here’s the oh DEER part.  We have never seen a more friendly wild deer than this one who just came over and chilled with us.  Licking Meg’s hand and just hanging out for a few pics.  We were blown away – Meg said it was the coolest thing she thinks she’s ever done.  It’s a bonus photo and here it is…

Oh Deer

Meg the deer whisperer!  We’re including the Snapchat story that has a little of this captured on video – so fun!

Oh DEER!  And there you have it – an experience we’ll never forget and a senior we won’t forget either!  We expect big things from this girl and we hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day with her!

Ever Loving Emma In An Epic and Sprawling Senior Session!

We are ever loving Emma for sure in this senior session! It was one like very few others… across multiple locations, inclement weather that we ultimately worked to our great advantage, outfits, styles, settings – it was epic and sprawling and we loved all of it!  We also love Emma’s mom Lija – we had so much fun with the two of them!  The funny thing is we actually snapped a photo of Emma at prom with her date and our Lacey and her date over a year ago and hadn’t even realized it when they called to book her senior pics!  Like it was meant to be!

Ever Loving Emma

So let’s start with the first day in the studio on the red couch…

Ever Loving Emma

Love that!  Gorgeous and a fun playful photo of Emma!

We also have some behind the scenes fun first from a Facebook Live broadcast from the studio…

Next we headed to the ice to get this fabulous photo… these are always a fun challenge – usually with me walking out on to the ice with the off camera flash trying not to wipeout lol!

Ever Loving Emma

So graceful!

Day 2

After a rainout we rescheduled at a private location that we DO have available for future photo sessions if our clients request it and what a spot!  AND we had a perfect day with big beautiful snowflakes falling and no wind…  we started in the hayloft – check out the behind the scenes:

And here’s the result!

Ever Loving Emma

SO COOL!!!

Emma spotted a swing on the property and we jumped on it so to speak… we’ll finish with that photo!

Ever Loving Emma

How cute is she?

Lastly we’re going to leave you with the snapchat story with highlights from both days!

And there it is – ever loving Emma indeed!  We hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day(s) with her!!!

Ethan Gets An Education in Senior Pictures on the U of M Campus!

For Ethan’s session we decided to get a little academic you could say, and Ethan got an education out of it…..in senior pictures!  We headed up to the University of Michigan to get some photos around campus and both of Ethan’s parents Stacy and Paul joined us.  We love spending time in Ann Arbor and it’s really picturesque so it made for a great setting!  Let’s get to the highlights!

Ethan Gets An Education

Ethan started with a formal look and he’s looking ready for college here!

Education

What a stud.

We also have some fun behind the scenes first from our Instagram LIVE:

At this point Ethan changed to a slightly more casual look for a couple more photos around campus:

Education

Ivy covered walls are cool.

Here we are with the law quad as a backdrop framing our guy:

Education

At this point we headed to the Arb for a more natural setting and we fired up the Facebook Live for some more behind the scenes action:

And we’ll leave you with one more in the natural setting:

Education

So cool!  Ethan got his education in senior pictures alright and he passed with flying colors!  We hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day with him!

Audrey Astonishes In Her Return To The Frameable Faces Blog!

Audrey astonishes in this return to our blog with highlights from her senior session but we can’t say we’re surprised since she awed us with her spokesmodel session earlier this year!  Audrey has been representing us for the class of 2019 at Troy Athens High School and we are huge fans of her and her mom Michelle!  We have a lot in common and we’ve always felt like friends since day one, so we were looking forward to getting her in front of Ally’s camera one more time!  So, let’s get astonished!

Audrey Astonishes

We spent this session in Birmingham since we got plenty of studio work done earlier this year…. so let’s get to it!  We actually had a little bit of rain but it made for a pretty cool photo of Audrey with some drops falling from the tree she was under as we started with the natural setting of Quarton Lake:

Audrey Astonishes

Pretty cool!  We also have some fun behind the scenes action first from Facebook Live:

Next we get a little closer up with our girl in downtown Birmingham:

Audrey Astonishes

Stunning!

We also have behind the scenes in the city from the replay of our Instagram broadcast:

Audrey had a penchant for marble and we knew just where to find it for this cool photo!

Audrey Astonishes

How adorable is she?

And we’ll leave you with this last one with a little pop of color:

Audrey Astonishes

Audrey astonishes – there’s no doubt about it, and we hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day with her!

A Happy Hannah Happening – Spectacular Senior Pics in the D!

A happy Hannah happening was what we had in downtown Detroit on this senior session!  We go back to high school with Hannah’s mom Robyn so this was one of those surreal sessions for us and it was certainly one to remember!  Hannah’s dad Glenn came along as well and we had a blast.  As for Hannah we just have to say that she has this fun and infectious personality that totally draws you in – just a cool and nice girl who isn’t afraid to have a good laugh!  We loved working with her and she had an amazing session, so let’s get to the pics!

Happy Hannah Happening in the D

Hannah decided on Detroit so we spent all of our time there, and we started on Belle Isle where we got the cool skyline photo that we love!

Happy Hannah Happening

Okay she’s adorable.

We also have some fun behind the scenes for you first from the replay of the Facebook Live broadcast:

We grabbed a few more photos on Belle Isle too – first on the red bridge up close and personal with our girl:

Happy Hannah Happening

That backlight is kickin’!

And we also went back to the graffiti bridge – here’s some more behind the scenes from Instagram:

….and the result:

Happy Hannah Happening

Love it!!!

We made a location change to Eastern Market to finish up the day and found a few awesome murals – here’s one of them to leave you with:

Happy Hannah Happening

A happy Hannah happening indeed!!!  We hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day with her!

Paul’s Pics Are A Paragon Of Senior Session Perfection!

A Paragon is defined as a “model of excellence or perfection” and so it seems fitting – Paul the paragon!  Paul is a good guy and he’s a buddy of our Tony so we’ve known him for a while.  He’s a pretty chill young man and nice to be around so we were looking forward to his session.  We planned it out with Paul and his mom Renee but we had Paul solo for the session itself which we started in the studio and that is where we’ll start here:

Paragon

Looking good!

We also have some fun behind the scenes action first from Instagram:

At this point we headed outside to get some location photos and we had great conditions and lighting even if it was a little chilly:

ParagonWe have more highlights as well behind the scenes this time from Facebook Live:

We moved around to a couple more spots like this one on the park bench:

Paragon

Just chillin’!  And we’ll leave you with this last closeup:

Paragon

A paragon of senior session perfection indeed!  We hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day with Paul!
