If this session looks familiar to you it’s because Owen’s big bro Aiden was on this blog a couple years ago and Owen is also a Detroit Catholic Central Shamrock – except this time the sport is RUGBY! Owen and his mom (and our longtime friend) Kelly joined us for a great time at CC as well as a little time at the studio and we got some fantastic stuff…. Let’s take a look!
Owen Crushes It
We started on location at CC:
Home field advantage!
There’s really so much to work with for our Shamrocks on that beautiful campus… and we also have some fun behind the scenes first from Instagram:
This was one of our final fall sessions and we sure got some Pure Michigan feels going here…
One more from CC…
Looking good Owen!!!
At this point we headed back to the studio and here’s a little more behind the scenes from Facebook:
And we’ll leave you with this last LIT pic:
BOOM!
Great way to end it! Hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day with Owen!

Anthony is awesome. We love this dude – not a shy young man by any stretch let’s say. This CC Shamrock has represented the studio as a spokesmodel for the class of 2024 and he’s done it in style so we were pumped for another go round over at the CC campus this time for his senior pics! His parents Lynne and John joined us for a day of fun so let’s get to some highlights!
Anthony Is Awesome
YES!!! And those fall colors man…. perfection.
We have some fun behind the scenes too first from Facebook:
The Catholic Central campus is beautiful and there is plenty to work with whether it’s a natural setting or some CC landmarks…
Here’s one at the grotto…
Looking good Anthony! Here’s a little more behind the scenes fun from Instagram:
And we’ll leave you with one more by the big CC logo out at the campus entrance:
Anthony is awesome indeed and so was his session! We hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day with him!

This had to be one of our favorite sessions of all time, and I’m not just saying that. We did some stuff we haven’t done which was really fun (more on that later), and of course the people help make a session so when you put it all together it was an epic journey with Jimmy for sure! Jimmy’s parents Dar and Jimmy are awesome – we laughed a lot on this session and Ally has known Dar for several years, but we hadn’t hung out with her hubby before and we all just clicked. As for Jimmy the CC Shamrock class of 2021 senior, what a nice kid. A student athlete and a pleasure to hang out with. We started in the studio and then headed down to Detroit – check out these highlights:
Journey With Jimmy In Detroit
As I said we started in the studio so let’s do that before we head downtown…
Digging the long crop on that with the CC jersey and the flaming stick! So cool – now as you probably know that’s not the stuff we hadn’t done before…
We also have some behind the scenes fun from Facebook:
At this point we headed to Detroit…..and we broke out the smoke grenades!!!!!
Okay how cool is the blue smoke with the blue letterjacket? Even the street itself is cool… and of course the SENIOR is cool!
We hit a few more spots including Eastern Market:
And here are more behind the scenes this time from Instagram:

VIKTORIOUS!!! That’s how we all felt after our day – Viktor, his parents & Ally and me! Such a cool class of 2020 senior session with plenty of stuff we did on a whim and it all worked out! From boutiques and restaurants around Birmingham who were more than happy to let us come in and take pics like Churchill’s and Teacups & Toys, a Pet Boutique, to great weather and just generally exploring, it was a flawless outing! Viktor is a cool dude too which we knew – we’ve photographed him with the whole family and he hung out on big brother Maksim’s session too – so we were looking forward to this one with mom Susie and dad Mike whom I go back with over 40 years!
VIKTORIOUS WITH VIKTOR…
We focused on location photos for Viktor in Birmingham so let’s get to the highlights:
This one looks so cool in black and white – Viktor is the man!
We also have some fun behind the scenes on this one first from the Instagram Livestream – check it out!
Let’s get to a few more:
Such a cool spot with the ivy covered building!!!
The marquee of the Birmingham Theater is a pretty cool backdrop too. Viktor crushed it.
Last but not least, we asked the folks at Churchill’s if we could come in and shoot and they were more than accommodating! It was around 11 AM so it was well before the lunch crowd and we were in and out pretty fast. We have photographed in the West Bloomfield location as well just across the street from our studio and they are really nice there. Great big humidor and selection of spirits and a wonderful menu in Birmingham – highly recommended. Here’s the behind the scenes from Facebook Live:
…..and the result:
SO cool right?
Yes a VIKTORIOUS day was had indeed, and we hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day!

Maksim has been in front of Ally’s camera before along with the whole fam, and we personally go back with his dad Mike a long way – for Doug about 42 years! So we were excited for the opportunity to photograph Maks for his senior pictures and we had a mega gameplan to takeover Detroit to do it! The whole fam came along – mom Sue and little bro Viktor!
Maksim To The Maximum
We spent the whole day on location in Detroit – first stop Belle Isle!
Max is looking good with Detroit as the backdrop! That’s the GM Headquarters AKA the Renaissance Center in the distance!
After some time on Belle Isle we headed over to Eastern Market to find a couple of murals and we also fired up some behind the scenes on Facebook Live – take a look!
And here’s one of the results:
So cool!
Next stop back downtown to the Belt alleyway for a pic of Maksim and “MOM” hehe…
At this point we had one more stop to make and that was West Riverfront Park where we had the Ambassador Bridge as a backdrop and here is the behind the scenes action from there that we streamed on Instagram:
Such a cool spot, BUT – we’re going to sign off with a photo from there of Maksim to the Maximum – up close and personal:
Nailed it!
And there you have it – it was Maksim to the Maximum indeed and we hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day which actually ended with pizza at Pie Sci – YUM! What an awesome time we had all around and the results prove it!
