Photographing Jordan is our jam. We’ve gotten to do it a couple times now starting with her spokesmodel session back in April and it’s been a blast! She’s a total sweetheart and her parents are great too – Jessica and Doug both joined us for a perfect day in Birmingham for her senior session and we have highlights for you – they weren’t easy to pick….
Photographing Jordan is our Jam
This first photo is a new spot at Quarton Lake we hadn’t used before, so this pose on this rock will henceforth be known as “The Jordan”:
She ROCKED it.
We also have some behind the scenes fun from the day starting with the replay from Facebook Live:
Here’s one more from Quarton Lake – just a beautiful close up of Jordan!
…and one more livestream – this time it’s the replay of the Instagram LIVE:
At this point we headed over to downtown Birmingham to get a few urban looks and these are just fantastic:
Adorable – catching her in a bit of a mid-giggle!
And we’ll leave you with this one which is one of our favorite looks:
Yeah….everything about this session was just wonderful! Awesome results.
And there you have it – photographing Jordan is our jam indeed! We hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day with her!

Carli is cool, and yes she conquered and captivated on this wonderful senior picture session!!! Cool because she’s just adorable, smart and nice. Conquers because she stepped out of her comfort zone taking pics amongst the wildlife (including a couple of muskrats lol), and captivates because she totally crushed it! She looks great in these photos! We had so much fun with her and her mom Jenny – a perfect day with lots of laughs! Aside from the yearbook headshot we went completely on location and we are excited to share a few of these with you!
Carli Conquers
Going in chronological order we started with a bench by the water and this one just looks so good to us in black and white so we’ll start there:
We also have some fun behind the scenes from the day first with the replay from Facebook Live!
We had a couple of outfit changes, a few furry friends who visited and startled Carli’s mom Jenny a little – we love her by the way – and a little waiting for the sun to hit a meadow just the way we wanted it! Here’s a beautiful full length photo:
Love it!
Here’s more behind the scenes fun this time from our Instagram livestream:
We LOVE this one on the bridge…
Okay, she is stunning!
We’ll leave you with one more!
Beautiful!!! Carli conquers and captivates is an appropriate way to describe these photos indeed, and we hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day with her!

Mad about Maddie is what we are! We actually have been at least since her spokesmodel session back in April and so we were excited to get her in front of Ally’s camera again for her senior pictures! We had great weather and we focused mainly on location for this day so we headed out with Maddie and her mom Lisa to make it happen!
Mad About Maddie
First we went to a private beach that they had access to:
Okay she’s adorable.
From there we headed to a fave dock of ours for a few and we have some fun behind the scenes on this from Facebook Live!
…and one of the results!
Love it. And we’ll also give a shout out to Francie Fruitman on the fantastic makeup!
We bounced around West Bloomfield a little where we got this image with Maddie surrounded by natural beauty!
Oh, and Maddie LOVES bumblebees…. ok not really. Haha! Some more behind the scenes on that…. from Instagram LIVE:
We’ll leave you with one more of Maddie just being super cute.
And there you have it – we’re mad about Maddie – again! We hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day with her!

Highly awesome – yes indeed. A fitting description of this fab senior session with our latest senior Holly – a session that makes us wanna holla! Holly is a West Bloomfield Laker, a soccer player and an all around great girl – we really enjoyed her and her mom Nicole’s company for the perfect day we spent in Birmingham!
Holly’s Highly Awesome…
We focused this entire session on location in Birmingham and we couldn’t have asked for better weather!
Just beautiful!
We have some fun behind the scenes as we like to do as well – first from our live stream on Instagram:
Here’s one in a tree that we’ve used that we seem to be perfectly able to fit a senior in! Haha!
We also have more behind the scenes fun from Facebook:
And here is one with that outfit!
Holly looked amazing and the lush summer flowers and colors make for great sessions at Quarton Lake!
We’ll leave you with one more:
She’s adorable!
And there you have it! Now you see why Holly’s highly awesome session makes us wanna holla! We hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day with her and Nicole!

Camryn was definitely in command on this very first senior session of the Class of 2020 season! But let’s back up a sec…
Camryn’s mom Rochelle has been my Facebook friend for a couple of years but we had never met in person! We met through mutual connections and I did not realize her daughter was an upcoming senior at our alma mater – North Farmington! So when she reached out to discuss senior pictures we were excited! When you are as active as we are on Facebook sometimes you can make a connection online that becomes a connection offline! I knew we would like Rochelle and by extension it was no shock that we liked Camryn! Camryn is adorable and smart and nice, and she wants to be a pediatrician! She’s got it together, and yes she was in command on her senior session!
Camryn In Command
We started in the studio and focused mainly on the red fabric backdrop and the black. Starting with the black:
Wow! Okay she looks amazing, and now would be a good time to give a shout out to her makeup artist Tina Jones who did a fantastic job on Camryn!
We also have some fun behind the scenes first from the studio on Facebook:
Next we switched to the fiery red fabric backdrop for this full length photo:
Camryn is so photogenic and so comfortable in front of the camera! A delight for Ally to work with!
At this point it was time to head out on location. It was brutally hot out – over 95 degrees but we were not going to be deterred! Not to mention there were supposed to be thunderstorms but those held off as well as we were glued to the hourly forecast for the previous 24 hours and watched it shift thankfully in our favor!
We headed to Quarton Lake and got this gorgeous image:
And of course we have a little more behind the scenes fun from the Instagram Live – the replay resides on our YouTube channel (make sure you’re subscribed)!
We’ll leave you with one more full length photo of our girl:
What a great session!!! Camryn was in command indeed and we hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day with her!

Kendall kills it – in more ways than one! For starters she’s an accomplished volleyball player, so kills in volleyball are important – a kill is an attack that results in an immediate point or side out, and so we attacked this spokesmodel session with gusto! And yes, she killed it. Kendall will be playing volleyball at Michigan and Michigan is our shared connection. You see, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree as Kendall’s dad Vada (may he rest in peace) was my friend and teammate on the football team at Michigan so having Kendall in the fold representing our studio as the first spokesmodel we’ve ever had at Ann Arbor Skyline High School is really special for us.
Kendall Kills It
We met Kendall and her mom Sarah (who Ally knew from a previous life in finance before Ally and I and Sarah and Vada got together which is pretty cool) up in Ann Arbor on a perfect Saturday for the session but actually two nights before that they came to the studio for our spokesmodel party where we did a few studio pics so let’s start with one of those:
Love the simple white backdrop with the simple white tank… Kendall looks fantastic!
To Ann Arbor…
Now let’s visit a few of the Ann Arbor images a couple days later where as I said before we had a perfect day! As a side note this is very typical for our senior sessions where we take some photos in the studio as well as on location. We started in the Arb where the peonies were in full bloom so it was actually pretty crowded. So we took a few photos by the flowers but shortly after we found a great spot on one of the trails:
I’m guessing we’ll be using that spot again…
We also have some fun behind the scenes from the day – first from the replay of the livestream we did on Instagram:
We also headed over to the law quad on campus which is really a beautiful setting and we used a couple different spots – here’s Kendall under one of the archway entrances to the courtyard:
And here’s the behind the scenes action on that photo from Facebook Live!
At this point we left the campus to get some photos at a couple of parks and while we usually include 4 photos in these posts we’re including an extra here since Kendall’s session is the last of our Class of 2020 spokesmodels, our first from Ann Arbor Skyline, and – well…..there were just too many good ones not to share an extra!
Love that bridge and how Kendall’s tank top pops right off of it while still almost matching it…
And we’ll leave you with this one, which might very well be our favorite of the day:
What a classic photo!!!! Classic beauty!
And there you have it – Kendall kills it indeed! We loved our day with them and we can’t wait to get Kendall in front of Ally’s camera again. For those of you who have been following along we hope you’ve enjoyed our class of 2020 crew and we can’t wait to start photographing the sessions for the upcoming seniors!!!

YES it’s time for the Class of 2020 Spokesmodel Panorama…..RAMA!!! This is our third annual post like this, and while these are NOT professional photos, they are a fun behind the scenes way of representing what we’ve been up to with our new crew over the last few months in panoramic style! I took these (Doug – not Ally) with my iPhone XR and we love to stack ’em up and give them their own blog post! Now that we’ve completed all of our 10 spokesmodel sessions we can start rolling these things out – so fun! And what a great crew we have this year….
Yes we went to some of the usual spots including studio sessions early when the weather was still freezing, but we also went to a few new ones including a couple locations in Ann Arbor and we also have spokesmodels from Clarkston High School and Ann Arbor Skyline this year! A first for us! So in no particular order, here is your class of 2020 panorama…..RAMA!!!
Ava
Sedona
Blake
Dana
Kendall
Jordan
Katie
Alivia
Adin
Maddie
And there it is!!! The class of 2020 is HERE and we are so excited! We hope you enjoyed the panorama…..RAMA!!!

Let’s bring on Blake!!! Blake is our newest spokesmodel for the class of 2020 representing the Birmingham Groves Falcons! We actually met Blake and his mom Ellory officially together for the first time on a face time call and we laughed a lot even with Blake being a little under the weather at the time so we knew this would work. We are running close to the end of the junior year so we were happy to luck out and get great weather to get a session in with some location photos at the Franklin Cider Mill, but we also started with some photos in the studio so we’ll begin with those:
Bring On Blake…
We kept these simple on the black backdrop and we’ll show one in color here….
….and one in black and white!
Blake was a piece of cake to photograph – Ally commented that he’s a natural – a photogenic dude!
We also have some fun behind the scenes action first from Facebook Live:
At this point we headed over to the Franklin Cider Mill which is actually a great place for pictures when it’s off season – such a classic place and they were very happy to let us take photos there when we asked them permission a few years back. It’s very typical for our seniors to do a combination of studio and on location images…
Love this shot…
We have another behind the scenes vid – this time with the raw feed from our Instagram livestream:
And we’ll leave you with this one at the tree that we really like:
And there you have it – Blake BROUGHT it!!! Good kid – we’re happy to have him and we hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day with him!

Adin is a really good kid – we enjoyed hanging with him a lot on our spokesmodel session for him as he represents the class of 2020 for Frameable Faces at Frankel Jewish Academy! Easygoing, personable and really smart, we are really happy to have him on our crew! We photographed him in the studio as well as on location which is pretty typical for our seniors and we have a few highlights for you, so let’s get to ’em!
Taking Aim At Adin
We started off in the studio with a somewhat dressy look on the black background and these came out quite nicely:
Good lookin’ dude!
We also have some behind the scenes fun first from the studio from the Instagram livestream we did:
At this point we headed outside to get some location photos… first on the steps:
And we have more behind the scenes from that set up on Facebook Live – take a look!
And we’ll leave you with a couple more outdoor photos of our guy!
You just know a genuine smile when you see one – this kid has it and we also like that pop of color in the background!
And one more…
Love that wood background – textures are a lot of fun to work with!
So there you have it! We took aim at Adin indeed and we’re looking forward to his return for his senior session along with the rest of the class of 2020 which is starting SOON! We hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day with him!

Ava is a character and we are huge fans. We had so much fun with her, and her photos? OMG. She’s a pro – tons of style and sass and the day we spent with her and her mom Stacie whom we went to high school with was one we won’t soon forget! A great time in Detroit and we can’t wait to do it again on her senior session. We are pleased to have her representing our studio at Bloomfield Hills High School for the class of 2020! Let’s get to the photos…
All About Ava
Our plan was to go to Belle Isle first and this was where the adventure started… the ramp to get onto I-75 south from I-94 was closed so we ended up heading in the opposite direction which put us right by an industrial center where we have taken some images before so we figured while we were there we would get a few….
And wow. Right off the bat Ava was in the zone – what a gorgeous image.
After a little time there we headed back down to our original destination and…..they were setting up for the Grand Prix. Ugh! No worries – we still got our skyline image that has become popular for Detroit sessions and we have a little fun behind the scenes from our livestream on Facebook:
And here is the result:
Detroit and Ava vs. Everybody!
Next we headed over to Eastern Market to get a few photos on a particular wall that we love (after a lunch break at Chili Mustard Onions – YUM).
As you can imagine we had a really tough time narrowing down photos from this session… Ava looked fantastic!
We also have more behind the scenes this time from the livestream we did on Instagram!
Last but not least after bouncing around the D a little more we made it back to the studio for a few photos on the black backdrop (most of our seniors do a combination of studio and location for their sessions) and we’ll leave you with this stunner…
Great one to end on! We were all about Ava that day indeed and we hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day with her!
