We Really Like-ah Mycah! Okay Actually We Love Her!

Yeah, to just say we “really like-ah” Mycah wasn’t enough.  We love her!  We fell in love with this girl the minute she walked into our studio the first time.  She’s just cool, and funny, and beautiful, and smart and – okay we could go on and on, but yeah – she fits in.  Instant connection.  The snowfall we had for this session was a little unexpected and yet it really did work out nicely.  We had a great time and Mycah just slayed (that means she did an amazing job)!

So we started out on location at a nature preserve that we love and got a few shots there mainly with one outfit and a letter jacket addition which warmed our hearts because it was a dear old brown and gold North Farmington Raider jacket!  Go North!  Let’s take a look at these:

The Torch Is Passed To Jake – Another Cohen Raider!

This is pretty cool.  Me and my brothers are at the ages where we have kids all coming up through high school and moving on to college, and last year we photographed our nephew Jared for his senior portraits.  This year we have another nephew – Jake, and Jake is the only one to carry on our tradition of Cohen boys playing football for the North Farmington Raiders.  Jake even wore his dad’s number 45 jersey which was a little surreal to see on Holland Field since I can remember watching my older brother Jeff wear that number on the same field when I was a kid.  So here we go with another Cohen Raider!

With Jake we kept it indoors and relatively straightforward in the studio on the black background, and we’ll start there with a photo in just a nice casual outfit…

Awesome Senior Portraits Are Easy With Eli!

The goal with senior sessions is always awesomeness.  That’s the goal.  We reach that goal with awesome seniors which we are fortunate to have here at Frameable Faces, and awesomeness was easy with Eli.  Eli is a cool dude – we like him a lot!  He’s easy to work with, an engaging, funny, smart and good looking kid and he’s a North Farmington Raider just like us.  His mom Elysa came along for the session and she is a pleasure.  They have a great mom/son relationship and we had a blast on a beautiful Michigan fall day!

So yes this session was easy working with Eli, and we started on location at Heritage Park in Farmington Hills.  We had some nice fall colors to work with and we’ll start there with our first photo from the day:

At this point it was time to head back to the studio where some real magic happened.  This black and white with Eli in the hoodie is fantastic:

Bringing BAE Back With Bayley Because She’s So Darn Cute!

“BAE” is an acronym/term that is kinda so 2013… and yet we think it’s appropriate to bring it back for this girl for a couple reasons.  For starters her name is BAY-ley, and while she’s not our one and only BAE per se (see what I did there), she is in fact really cute and fun and we fell in love with her (and her mom) the minute they came to the studio.  Actually Bayley came by the studio on her own to set up the meeting to discuss her senior portraits and we were impressed from the start.  So as a general term of endearment we’re running with it – Bay is BAE.  #sorrynotsorry

Meanwhile our plan for Bayley’s session took us to Franklin for the second time for the class of 2016.  First to the Franklin Cider Mill and then to a park in Franklin where we found a couple new little treasures.  Just a great day – but before we get to the location photos let’s start in the studio with one photo on the black background.

Aiming For Amazing With Atara, And Getting There!

Aiming for amazing with Atara is not exactly difficult since it’s not a moving target.  The girl has been nothing but amazing since we have known her!  Beautiful girl, smart, nice, and her family is about as good as they come.  Atara represented our studio this year as a spokesmodel for the class of 2016 so you may remember her awesome spokesmodel session from back in March.  She is great in front of the camera so we were excited to do it again for her senior session.  In March we were in the studio the whole time so this time we focused exclusively on outdoor locations.

This time around we met Atara and her parents on a cool fall morning at the Franklin Cider Mill for our first location, and of course cider and donuts were part of the plan.  YUM.  Okay let’s not get too sidetracked…. let’s focus on the amazing we were aiming for – let’s focus on Atara!!!

Awestruck By Akwia And Her Awesome Senior Photos!

Awestruck by Akwia is how we felt on the day of her session – softspoken and sweet, athletic and beautiful – she’s got the whole package!  We had a great time hanging out with her as well as her mom and her pup Sophie!  Just a great session overall and we are excited to share a few sneak peeks with you!

We started out on location over by the West Bloomfield Library – one of our favorite spots for natural beauty (not to mention a great library as a side note) and the fall colors were in full swing.  We’ll start on a trail where you’ll see a nice pop of “Pure Michigan” orange in the distance to compliment Akwia in this lovely red dress.

We Are Lovin’ A Little Bit Of Lauren’s Senior Portraits!

A little bit of Lauren is all we need to show you to see how great she is.  She’s nice and she’s pretty and that’s what her session was – just nice and pretty in the studio.  We’ve always maintained that while the majority of our sessions are a combo of location and studio, we also love the sessions that are just one or the other!  Studio sessions are just chilled and relaxed and Lauren was here with her mom Dawn for hers.  We had fun!

Catching Up With The Captivating Miss Caitlin!

It’s time to do a little catching up with the captivating miss Caitlin!  We love Caitlin – she is one of our spokesmodels for the class of 2016 and you may remember her from her spokesmodel session which was truly spectacular.  It’s always fun to come back and do a senior session 7 months later on a beautiful fall day with one of our peeps, and Caitlin definitely captivated us on this day!

Let’s start out at the studio.  We didn’t spend a ton of time here because we did plenty of studio work the last time around and this time we had some great “Pure Michigan” fall colors to play with.  We’ll take a peak at one from the black and blowy set up:

Join us for some Julia senior awesomeness won’t you?  It will be worth your time because this was an amazing senior session with some wonderful “Pure Michigan” fall colors and, well – a wonderful senior!  We’ve known Julia’s mom since before there was a Julia which seems to be a running theme for the class of 2016 so this was yet another special day for us!  We had a lot of fun and the results speak for themselves….

LOVE the hat!  Hats are really underrated accessories for senior shoots – every time a senior girl wears a hat it’s magic.  This is also a good time to give a shout out for the fantastic makeup by Shifra Raskin whose studio is right down the hall from ours!

We are definitely juiced up for Jordan and we’ve been Jonesing to show you a few sneak peeks of her portraits from her senior session!  We love Jordan.  She is a friend of our daughter’s and we’ve known her for a while so we were excited for this day.  Funny side note – Jordan was in a seminar that we gave over the summer for a program up at the University of Michigan on entrepreneurship, and we broadcast the presentation on Periscope.  Jordan was excited to be the star of her own Frameable Faces Periscope and she definitely rocked the broadcast and the session!
