We love when our peeps have growing families and they bring them in for updated photos – we love to be a part of these special moments and to catch up! Jen has 5 children now including two “newer additions” and 2 of the five have been on our blog before – Emily for senior pictures and Noah for pictures with his grandmas! So getting them all here together was really fun. They actually came to the mall for breakfast with Santa (a mall event where we took pictures for everyone with Santa and Mrs. Claus) and then back to the studio for their own session, ultimately including all of it on their custom holiday cards!

Breakfast with Santa here at the mall is always so much fun! Samuel and Noah had a blast and we hope they got what they asked for!

Jaime was here years ago with her first born when she was a baby and then again with her middle child, and she called us to say she wanted to bring everything full circle with a family session of her, her hubby, and her THREE kids before they move across the state! We love reconnecting with our Frameable families and seeing how they’ve grown, and this was a nice poignant moment to capture with a last hurrah session in Northville before they start their new chapter!

Alexandria Adorable just sums it up. What a cute little smushy baby with a TON of personality at such a young age! We don’t usually expect to get smiles like we did at 2 months but Alexandria is already ahead of her time, and her parents La Shawn and Aaron are just delightful. We had a great time with them and Alexandria couldn’t have been easier to work with. No crying, no meltdowns – a total pro at 2 months!

The Stones are legends here – a classic Frameable family! For starters Cheyenne and Sierra were both seniors here, with a stunning plexiglass of Cheyenne still hanging in the studio and Sierra having represented us as a spokesmodel for the class of 2013 (she’s the first one in this post from back then). Through working with them we’ve become friends and while Cheyenne and Sierra have graduated college and moved to different states we’ve remained close with their parents Beth and Sheldon back here in Michigan. So this year we conspired with the girls along with Sheldon to have them both fly home and surprise Beth for a family session for Mother’s Day here at the studio! It was kind of funny because we had been out with Beth and Sheldon the week before and Sierra called while we were with them and everyone was saying “one of these days” they’ll have to get in to do a family session. Beth had no clue – it was awesome….

We were so excited – plus we miss the girls – we love them! They came to the studio with Wrigley the pup they rescued here at the mall from one of the Detroit Dog Rescue events we have from time to time. What a blast we had! Let’s take a look at a few highlights:

Krista and Joe have been to the studio a couple times before for various family photos – some with the kids, but never with just them and Krista’s parents Jim and Jean. We are so happy they did this because it was much fun and just really so special! You could just tell this meant a lot to all of them and the behind the scenes from Facebook and Snapchat will give you a sense of that. Besides Jim and Jean were both a delight to have a little fun banter with – they were great on camera! We nominate them in the category of Cutest Parents Ever.

It’s a blessing to have both of your grandmas and Noah brought them both to the studio for his 3 year old portraits! Noah is a ball of energy and we had a lot of fun! Noah’s mom Jen was here and she’s been here a bunch since one of her older daughters Emily has represented our studio this year for the high school senior class of 2018 – so we love these peeps!

Tricia and her hubby came in from Texas and brought in the whole crew for this session and it was a blast – a whole gaggle of little cousins running around and lots of laughter in the studio! We’ve had a couple of Hakims here in the studio before – Nadia and Aliya both had their senior portraits done here, and what a delight it was to have the whole fam back in the studio together for a family session! Yes it was fun to have Chase here for his senior pictures, but it was also an honor since Chase will be joining the Army after high school! What a great kid and we know he’ll have a great career in the armed forces. But for now let’s enjoy the fun pics where everyone got involved from the fam to Diva the pup, and this session was broken up into two days because of weather… that seems to be a bit of a theme this Fall!
An Honor To Have Chase…
So we started in the studio on our scheduled day even with the bad weather outside and mom Krysten and nana Denise both joined us! Great ladies! Here is Chase on the white backdrop for the clean basic contemporary look – always a winner.
We also have some behind the scenes with the replay of our Facebook Live broadcast where Chase donned a little Army gear (a t-shirt, ballcap, and camo shorts)!

It’s a joy to see a family in the process of growing right before your eyes when they are expecting and this fabulous family of three is about to become FOUR! So we met them in a park to get some awesome location portraits of this version of the crew and we had a blast.
