Josh made his triumphant return to the studio!!! We love this dude – he and our Tony are the best of buddies and we’re going to miss him seeing him as often when he heads off to Western Michigan to be a Bronco! In the meantime after representing our studio as a spokesmodel for the class of 2019 he came back in with his mom Amy to get a few more studio pics so let’s get to a few highlights!
Triumpant Return…!
Gotta love the ivy cap he started off with – it belonged to his grandpa – SO COOL.
We also have some hilarious behind the scenes action first from Facebook Live!
Next we changed it up with a couple different looks on the white background – first with the full length chillin’ on the stool:
Josh changed shirts one more time for these next couple:
Stud!
We went live a second time as well, this time on Instagram!
And we’ll leave you with this up close and smiling pose…
That’s a confident dude – he’s got it together and he had a triumphant return to the studio indeed! We hope you enjoyed the highlights of our time with him!

Jayden and Jaxon are total characters and they came back to the studio for some pics with their mommy Marla! It had been a while since they had been here so we were excited to have them back and boy are they growing up!
Total Characters!
We kept this session pretty simple with white shirts and jeans on these dudes with the white backdrop and we’ll start with a little brotherly love!
We also had some fun with some behind the scenes first on Facebook Live:
Now let’s give each of these guys their own turn in the spotlight:
First big brother Jayden:
What a big man!
Next it’s little brother Jaxon!
Great smile on that guy!
We also have some more behind the scenes fun from Instagram when Marla jumped in for a few with her boyz!
And the amazing result:
Awww…. how adorable are they???
And there you have it – total characters and total fun with these three! We hope you enjoyed the highlights of our time with them!

By now if you follow us on social media or subscribe to our newsletter there’s a pretty good chance you have caught the feature on Fox 2 Detroit that they did on us and boudoir photography. We have posted photos from the other two sessions highlighted in that piece here on the blog, and here is the third! Latoiya did a fantastic job in her interview and she looks lovely indeed in these photos! Boudoir photos are often done on location for privacy, but we did some in the studio for this feature and as you’ll see below the crew from Fox 2 was actually here while we photographed one. As a side note they ran this feature three times – the first time they misspelled Latoiya’s name which you’ll see here, but they actually corrected it when they ran it the next two times! Here is the feature before we get to the photos:
Latoiya Looks Lovely…
Meanwhile Latoiya mentioned in the piece about wondering if you’ve “lost it” after you’ve had kids and how boudoir can give you the confidence that you haven’t lost it at all – which she most certainly has not!!! She looks fabulous!
Beautiful!
Here’s a few more:
Latoiya looks lovely indeed – boudoir is fun, sexy and empowering! We love what Latoiya said at the end that “hopefully all women can see that it’s nothing to be ashamed of or looked down upon – that it’s to build us up!”

Elle continues the exciting run on high school athletes that we’ve had here at the studio – she’s going to play hockey at Yale which she comes by honestly since the whole family including dad played hockey – okay maybe with the exception of mom Nicole who was a tennis player! An athletic family to be sure! Meanwhile Elle is bright and fun too and we had a blast with her, Nicole and her sister Sasha who joined us!
Fun With Elle…
We did this all on location in Birmingham and we had a great day for it! Elle started out in this cute dress:
Love it!
We also have some fun behind the scenes action and I have to say this is literally one of my all time fave senior livestreams just because of the burst of laughter from Sasha when I start out with my “Yo Yo Yo Instafam!” Haha!
Now for a few more pics:
Just being fun and playful with the Yale gear on!
We have a little more behind the scenes fun as well this time from Facebook Live playing around with Elle’s USA Hockey gear:
And we’ll leave you with this one as Elle says “Peace Out!”
And there you have it! Fun times with Elle! We hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day with her!

Kendall kills it – in more ways than one! For starters she’s an accomplished volleyball player, so kills in volleyball are important – a kill is an attack that results in an immediate point or side out, and so we attacked this spokesmodel session with gusto! And yes, she killed it. Kendall will be playing volleyball at Michigan and Michigan is our shared connection. You see, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree as Kendall’s dad Vada (may he rest in peace) was my friend and teammate on the football team at Michigan so having Kendall in the fold representing our studio as the first spokesmodel we’ve ever had at Ann Arbor Skyline High School is really special for us.
Kendall Kills It
We met Kendall and her mom Sarah (who Ally knew from a previous life in finance before Ally and I and Sarah and Vada got together which is pretty cool) up in Ann Arbor on a perfect Saturday for the session but actually two nights before that they came to the studio for our spokesmodel party where we did a few studio pics so let’s start with one of those:
Love the simple white backdrop with the simple white tank… Kendall looks fantastic!
To Ann Arbor…
Now let’s visit a few of the Ann Arbor images a couple days later where as I said before we had a perfect day! As a side note this is very typical for our senior sessions where we take some photos in the studio as well as on location. We started in the Arb where the peonies were in full bloom so it was actually pretty crowded. So we took a few photos by the flowers but shortly after we found a great spot on one of the trails:
I’m guessing we’ll be using that spot again…
We also have some fun behind the scenes from the day – first from the replay of the livestream we did on Instagram:
We also headed over to the law quad on campus which is really a beautiful setting and we used a couple different spots – here’s Kendall under one of the archway entrances to the courtyard:
And here’s the behind the scenes action on that photo from Facebook Live!
At this point we left the campus to get some photos at a couple of parks and while we usually include 4 photos in these posts we’re including an extra here since Kendall’s session is the last of our Class of 2020 spokesmodels, our first from Ann Arbor Skyline, and – well…..there were just too many good ones not to share an extra!
Love that bridge and how Kendall’s tank top pops right off of it while still almost matching it…
And we’ll leave you with this one, which might very well be our favorite of the day:
What a classic photo!!!! Classic beauty!
And there you have it – Kendall kills it indeed! We loved our day with them and we can’t wait to get Kendall in front of Ally’s camera again. For those of you who have been following along we hope you’ve enjoyed our class of 2020 crew and we can’t wait to start photographing the sessions for the upcoming seniors!!!

YES it’s time for the Class of 2020 Spokesmodel Panorama…..RAMA!!! This is our third annual post like this, and while these are NOT professional photos, they are a fun behind the scenes way of representing what we’ve been up to with our new crew over the last few months in panoramic style! I took these (Doug – not Ally) with my iPhone XR and we love to stack ’em up and give them their own blog post! Now that we’ve completed all of our 10 spokesmodel sessions we can start rolling these things out – so fun! And what a great crew we have this year….
Yes we went to some of the usual spots including studio sessions early when the weather was still freezing, but we also went to a few new ones including a couple locations in Ann Arbor and we also have spokesmodels from Clarkston High School and Ann Arbor Skyline this year! A first for us! So in no particular order, here is your class of 2020 panorama…..RAMA!!!
Ava
Sedona
Blake
Dana
Kendall
Jordan
Katie
Alivia
Adin
Maddie
And there it is!!! The class of 2020 is HERE and we are so excited! We hope you enjoyed the panorama…..RAMA!!!

Paige is turning the page – from high school to college out in Boulder as a Colorado Buffalo and what’s crazy about that is that makes TWO of our spokesmodels for the class of 2019 who are attending Colorado in the fall, as Kaitlyn is as well! Hmmm…. Ally and I may have to include Boulder on a new Frameable Faces campus tour to visit these awesome young ladies! Ha! But I digress….
The point here is that we’ve loved our time with Paige and her mom Maxine – we had a great spokesmodel session a year ago now, and we picked up right where we left off this time around.
Paige Turns The Page
We started on location at Quarton Lake in the morning while the sun was low although we had a little cloud cover which can always work to your advantage as well:
Stunner!!!
This was a hard session to narrow down the results from – it was pretty perfect… we did have some fun with the behind the scenes as usual – first with Facebook Live:
And here’s a couple more from outside…
Pretty Paige In Pink!
And one more just flat-out gorgeous photo…
At this time we headed back to the studio to close it out with a few on the white background and we have a little more fun behind the scenes this time from Instagram:
And one of the results:
Paige looks confident, in control and well – ready to turn the page!!! We hope you enjoyed the highlights of our session with her!

I tweeted today that if survive, survival, and thrive are all words then so should thrival be one. Emma was forced into pure survival when she was diagnosed with cancer, but these days since she beat it we would say she’s into THRIVAL. What an inspiration she is! She’s been our friend for years, and her family has all appeared on this blog before. But this time was a little different…
Dropping a Boudoir Bombshell…
We’ve been doing more boudoir lately as you may have seen and in this case Fox 2 Detroit was coming to the studio to do a feature on it. We had a live model ready but she had to cancel so Ally was in a bind and she called Emma, basically telling her she needed her to get ready and come to the studio to pose for sexy photos on television!!! Emma is a beauty and she was game – maybe because she didn’t have a ton of time to think about it!
But what ensued was more than we all bargained for. Ally frankly didn’t give a ton of thought to the fact that Emma was a survivor when she called her. It wasn’t about that at all, and yet when Emma got in front of Ally’s camera and slayed, it became a really empowering and flat out awesome moment. To hear Emma tell us how this put some of her story into perspective to see herself this way after having gone through such intense sickness when she didn’t look “healthy or sexy”. It was a powerful moment for everyone at the studio including the crew from Fox 2. Boudoir takes the story in directions you don’t expect sometimes and the results here are…..well, WOW.
Emma Inspires
Now keep in mind this isn’t a typical boudoir session since we did it here in the studio which can be a little….limiting. But we have some highlights to share on the black background and they still sizzle:
Gotta love a girl in a guy’s dress shirt and not a whole lot else…. 😉
